An interactive event looking at the re-design of Edinburgh’s streets for public transport, cycling and people.
The Council is consulting on how the City Mobility Plan will be delivered. A new approach is proposed to managing city streets, using a ‘Future Streets Framework’ – prioritising some streets for public transport, some for cycling networks and others for people. It’s an approach that offers a chance to rethink our urban street-scapes but faces challenges with multiple uses taking place in the same space.
In this event we’ll hear from our Green councillors on what they hope the outcomes will be and have time to discuss and consider what this might look like for some of Edinburgh’s busy high streets.
The consultation is a chance to give your thoughts on:
Our event will focus on the final two topics but Spokes is hosting an event on the Active Travel aspects on the 24 May that members may want to attend too.
The meeting will be at Augustines United Church, George IV Bridge and online.
