From Lorna Slater about the Super Saturday canvassing for Cllr Kayleigh O’Neill, meeting by the Leith Walk Police Box:
We’ll be out campaigning for our Edinburgh North & Leith candidate, Cllr Kayleigh O’Neill from 10am until 1pm by the Leith walk police box on Saturday.
It would be fantastic if you could make it along and help us get our message out to as many voters as possible. This is a great opportunity for first time volunteers in particular, we’ll have lots of experienced activists on hand and will be out working as a team.
With more temperature records being smashed across the world it is clear that only bold, transformative action can tackle the climate crisis. That’s why we’re proposing a £28 billion annual package of climate action, funded by a wealth tax on the top 1% and an end to the multi-billion pound tax breaks enjoyed by oil & gas companies. That’s why we’re asking people across Scotland to vote like our future depends on it and vote Scottish Greens on July 4th.
Whether you can help out in your own area or join us this weekend, every conversation with a voter and every campaign card delivered really matters. Together can send a powerful signal that people want the kind of fairer, greener Scotland the Scottish Greens are proposing.
Thanks for all you do, Lorna & Patrick
